Description: In a time of massive uncertainty in higher education, United Faculty and the CETL invited author and associate professor of business law and ethics at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Dr. Kent Kauffman, to speak on selected chapters from his recent book, Navigating Choppy Waters: Key Legal Issues College Faculty Need to Know (2025). Dr. Kauffman focused on issues of syllabi, academic freedom, and tenure, and his book also includes chapters on intellectual property, FERPA, and defamation in higher education.
