In a time of massive uncertainty in higher education, the CETL and United Faculty have invited author and associate professor of business law at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Dr. Kent Kauffman, to speak on selected chapters from his recent book, Navigating Choppy Waters: Key Legal Issues College Faculty Need to Know (2025). Dr. Kauffman will focus on issues of syllabi, academic freedom and tenure, although his book also includes chapters on intellectual property, FERPA, and defamation in higher education.
Dr. Kaufman will present his talk via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 14. This presentation will last approximately 35 minutes with the remaining time for your questions of Dr. Kauffman. Register to receive the Zoom link.
